Each entrant will receive a base prize for participating.
Additional prizes will be selected by a panel of judges under supervision of the Sponsor. The judges will be 4 fallow deer by the names of Pearl, Jovie, Jeff, and Phoebe. To be clear: submissions will be copied, printed, and placed around the deer enclosure. (No original submissions will be used for this stage.) Each deer will then choose a winner at their own discretion. They will express their vote through chewing on or through the submission, pawing with their hoof toward the submission, waving their head around the submission, or generally hanging around the submission for a long enough time that it is determined by the Sponsor that the deer has voted. No animals will be harmed in the judging of this contest.
The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen at the discretion of the Sponsor but will be based on measures such as appropriate subject material, depiction of the theme, and artistic expression. Other measures may be used at the discretion of the Sponsor.
The Sponsor will announce winners and the Grand Prize Winner on March 15, 2022. The Sponsor will also reach out to winners and the Grand Prize winner via social media or email (corresponding to how the entry was submitted) to notify them. Winners who do not respond within 2 weeks of the announcement and subsequent inquiry (March 29, 2022) will forfeit their prize. An alternate winner may be considered.
